Discover Bushmills Historic 36YO Hill Street Edition

In a celebration of tradition and craftsmanship, Bushmills Irish Whiskey proudly presents its latest masterpiece: the Hill Street Edition.

This exceptional 36-year-old single malt marks a historic moment for the distillery, symbolising the culmination of decades of dedication and expertise. Exclusive to The Friend at Hand in Belfast, the Hill Street Edition is more than just a whisky; it's a testament to the enduring bond between Bushmills and the vibrant city of Belfast. Crafted with unparalleled attention to detail, this release stands as the oldest and rarest expression ever unveiled by The Old Bushmills Distillery in Europe.

Limited to just 208 bottles, the Hill Street Edition embodies exclusivity and sophistication. Its journey began in 1986 when it was distilled and then meticulously aged in a sherry hogshead, capturing the essence of Bushmills' rich heritage. The choice of sherry wood for maturation infuses the whiskey with a complex array of flavours and a deep, golden chestnut hue, showcasing Bushmills' commitment to quality. But the story of the Hill Street Edition extends beyond its exceptional taste. It's a tribute to the shared history of Bushmills and Belfast, particularly to The Friend at Hand – a revered whiskey shop and museum now located on historic Hill Street. Once the site of the Bushmills headquarters, Hill Street is steeped in a legacy of shipbuilding, linen-weaving, and, of course, whiskey production.

Alex Thomas, Bushmills Master Blender, expresses her pride in bringing this exceptional whiskey back to Belfast. The Hill Street Edition's tasting profile is a testament to its ageing process, offering a symphony of flavours from warm honey and ripe red berries to luxurious notes of apricot, plum, raisins, and figs, all complemented by toasted oak and dark chocolate. Each bottle of the Hill Street Edition is presented in a bespoke hexagonal box crafted from black American walnut, adorned with an intricate gold-etched map of Belfast. It's not just a whiskey; it's a piece of art.

Priced at £5,000 for a 700ml bottle, the Bushmills Hill Street Edition 36-Year-Old single malt embodies unrushed perfection. It's a once-in-a-lifetime whiskey that pays homage to the hard-working people of Hill Street and the timeless bond between Bushmills and Belfast. With just 208 bottles available, this special release is poised to become a treasured addition to the collections of whiskey lovers worldwide, celebrating the legacy of Bushmills and the rich heritage of Irish whiskey.
