Martell launches the single cru collection

Explore Martell's unique terroir.

For over 300 years, Maison Martell has been deeply rooted in the Cognac region, committed to expressing the authentic essence of its terroir. Now, they unveil the Martell Single Cru collection, showcasing the distinctive taste of each terroir like never before. In the Martell Single Cru Collection, Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud carefully crafts cognacs from eaux-de-vie sourced from a single cru, revealing their unique personalities. The Fins Bois cognac offers a vibrant, fruity sensation, while the Petite Champagne is intense and spicy, and the Borderies leave a delicious impression of fullness.

Structured into three editions, the collection invites cognac enthusiasts to explore a world of exciting taste sensations. The Aged Edition continues the exploration with selections from the Borderies and Grande Champagne, remarkable for both their essence and age. The Vintage Edition showcases rare expressions from specific years, starting with the 1999 Borderies, capturing the essence of a single harvest and cru. The advantage of using eaux-de-vie from a single cru is that similar profiles naturally harmonise when blended. Maison Martell navigates this challenge meticulously, ensuring optimal purity and preserving the innate characteristics of each cru.

The journey through the Martell Single Cru collection is a structured exploration of themes across various profiles and occasions. The Discovery Edition investigates aromatic profiles from Fin Bois, Petite Champagne, and the Borderies. The Aged Edition focuses on aged varieties from Grand Champagne and Borderies, offering heightened depth and complexity. The Vintage Edition showcases expressions from specific years, capturing the essence of a single harvest and cru.

The Martell Single Cru collection is not just an ode to terroir; it's a buildable collection crafted to grow with the passionate collector. Whether drawn to the refreshing notes of pear and peach in the Discovery Edition Fin Bois or the mellower flavours of the Aged Edition Borderies, there's something for every palate to explore and define individual preferences.
