The Best New Bars In Singapore - June 2019

Where to go and what to drink this month.

Avenue

The TAO Group, aka the brains behind the likes of Lavo and Marquee, have just opened their doors to a brand new, must-visit bar in Marina Bay Sands. Right next door to the afore mentioned hotspot, Marquee, the lush and quirky bar is the perfect place for a pre-clubbing drink. Decor wise, think bowling alley, pool games, live music and plush seating areas.

Maduro

Let's face it, with some recent closures, Dempsey Hill needed a bit of fresh blood and that's exactly what it has just got thanks to Maduro Singapore. Alongside a stellar range of scotches and cocktails, Maduro is a smart and sophisticated jazz bar that offers something unique to the Singapore nightlife scene.

Le Noir Marina Bay Sands

If you don't fancy battling the hoards of tourists to get to this now iconic bar then you can breathe a sigh of relief as they open their doors at Marina Bay Sands. Smarter and sleeker than the original, think gold and marble combined with live music from touring bands.

The Old Man Singapore

If you are partial to a cocktail or two, then this is the bar for you. With its Hong Kong sister bar topping the Asia Best Bar List, they have brought all their experience and cocktail know how to Singapore. Basing their aesthetic on Ernest Hemmingway's writing den (hence the name), look forward to cocktails including The Sun Also Rises - Negroni with coconut oil fat-washed applejack, curry leaf infused gin, sweet vermouth and lime.
