The Six Singapore Bars On The World's Best Bar List 2017

If you haven't been to Atlas Bar, chances are you will have heard of it though. One of the most anticipated openings of 2017, this opulent, Art Deco inspired bar boasts Roman Folton, one of Forbes' most talented people under 30 as its head barman. From the rose-gold champagne room to the impressive decor, its easy to see why Atlas was the highest new entry on the list, coming in at number 15.

Another Art Deco inspired bar making onto the list is the Manhattan Bar. Already a staple on the Singapore supping scene, Manhattan got a slight overhaul early this year, creating a larger focus on whisky with an 'American Whiskey Embassy' showcasing 150 premium whiskeys. It could be to do with this or it could be thanks to its stellar reputation, but Manhattan rose four spots his year, coming in at number seven.

Fans of the Tippling Club will be glad to know that after a brief haitus, the buzzy cocktail bar is back on the list, coming in at number 31.

If you are after innovative cocktails with a hint of mystery, then Operation Dagger is for you. Based around the speakeasy style that has become so popular in Singapore, this quirky little bar is hidden on Ann Siang Hill. Voted Best New Bar in 2015, Operation Dagger fell three places to number 24 this year.

Founded by Vijay Mudaliar, NATIVE concentrates on only using local and regional produce in its drinks and snacks. But not just that, this quaint little bar, that made its debut at 47 on the list, is committed to supporting local and regional craftsmen when it comes to music, scents and tablewear.

Last year, Asia's 50 Best Bars Awards voted 28 HongKong Street the best bar in Singapore. This year, the laid back watering hole, famed for its cocktails, has fallen 11 places to make number 25 on The World's Best Bar List.
