Where to celebrate Valentines Day 2021

Where to dine if love is in the air.

Pollen

When it comes to treating ourselves, Pollen is always one of our top spots thanks to the stunning views and delicious food, courtesy of Chef Michael Wilson and this Valentine's Day is no different as Wilson rolls out a special menu. Starting things off with a nice cold glass of Brut Champagne, the special menu features highlights including filet de boeuf en croute, king crab and fromage frais.

The English House

Over at Marco Pierre White's famous The English House they have a treat for your tastebuds with their delicious menu, available on both the 13th and 14th February. To kick things off, there's the likes of burrata salad or their famous crab and prawn cocktail with marie rose sauce, followed by pasta, scallops or rib eye. Of course, puddings haven't been forgotten with either Tiramisu or chocolate mousse. Yum.

Gordon Grill at Goodwood Hotel

Famed for its fine Continental cuisine, Gordon Grill has created a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience for Valentines Day. One for true foodies, there's the likes of fish hamachi carpaccio served with compressed sweet pineapple, pan-roasted quail with foie gras and dark cherries and lobster and halibut filet with seasonal vegetables and truffle jus. That's where we will be then.

Wolfgang's Steakhouse

If sharing a steak is your idea of a good time, then head on over to Wolfgang's Steakhouse this Valentine's Day. Start off with a glass of Taittinger Champagne as you pursue the menu with delights including warm scallop and bacon salad, jumbo lobster and ribeye steak - of which the USDA Black Angus meat is dry-aged on-site for 28 days. When it comes to pudding, its decadence all the way with chocolate brownies served with vanilla ice-cream.

The Knolls

One of the things we love most about going to The Capella is the ambience - as you overlook the sea in the stunning hotel, you feel like you could be on holiday somewhere exotic instead of just down the road really. The other thing we love is the darn good food at The Knolls. For Valentines Day they have pulled out all the stops with a special menu. Starting off with scallops served with porcini mushrooms, things move on to a green asparagus volute which is then followed by either beef striploin or cod confit. Got room for pudding? There's morello cherry and earl grey chocolate mousse to finish things with a bang.
