Where to eat for Christmas in Singapore 2021

Staying Singapore-side this Christmas? Well, make sure its a merry and bright one with our guide on where and what to eat to get the best of the festive treats on offer.

Raffles Hotel

Having recently completed a multi-million dollar refurb, Raffles is back and looking better than ever and, if you are looking for somewhere truly special this Christmas, no one does it in quite as much style as this Singapore stalwart. This Christmas, the hotel is celebrating Christmas in four of their restaurants, each one offering something truly unique. For a more traditional Christmas lunch or dinner, there's the Michelin-starred La Dame De Pic or if you are looking for a more European offering, go Italian at Osteria BBR by Alain Ducasse. If a brunch of seafood, foie gras, Christmas roasts and cheeses all washed down with Petit Chablis and Esprit de Pavie Saint Emilion wines sounds like your perfect present, then head on over to Restaurant Le Royal and Lobby or if you've had your fill of the kids and want a more sedate and sophisticated soiree, then Le Phnom 1929 is serving Fines de Claire oysters, foie gras, and traditional Turkey and Christmas ham with free-flow Cheval Noir Bordeaux wines and beers.

The Capella

There's just something magical about stepping into The Capella - even though it's only on Sentosa, you immediately feel like you have been whisked away to some remote, relaxing haven. So, if this sounds like your Christmas miracle, then there's plenty going on for you. At Cassia restaurant, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day lunches come with a Chinese twist so expect the likes of Steamed Siew Mai topped with Abalone and fish maw, duo of scallops, flower mushroom. Dinners take on a similar theme with the combination Crispy Suckling Pig Skin Chicken Wing Stuffed with Glutinous Rice Deep-Fried Marinated Quail Leg with Lemongrass and baked lobster with cheese, garlic and herbs - all available with wine pairings. Over at The Knolls, Christmas and Boxing Day are more traditional with maple-bourbon brined turkey or leg of lamb and chocolate prauline cake for lunch. Dinner offers wine pairings and similar themed treats.

The English House

If you want a good meal guaranteed for Christmas, then The English House is a safe bet. From Christmas Eve through to Boxing Day, they are offering both dine in and takeaway options of traditional Christmas treats. There's free-range turkey with homemade cranberry sauce, wagyu steak or pork belly, all topped off with pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings. If you have room the puddings sound sublime - eton mess, Christmas pudding or Mont Blanc Tart. Yum.

Intercontinental Singapore

Start Christmas off in style at the Intercontinental Singapore on Christmas Eve in their Ash&Elm restaurant. There's Norwegian Salmon, nut-crusted Lamb Rack and even the crowd-pleaser of star anise rum baba. More of a celebrate on Christmas Day kind of family? No worries as their brunch of Boston Lobsters, oysters, roast turkey, beef-short ribs and festive puds are sure to keep anyone and everyone happy. Think we are done? Not quite as if you fancy something a bit lighter this festive season, head on over to their Lobby Lounge for a showcase of sweet and savoury delights.
