Privacy and serenity – what more could you possibly ask for out of a holiday?

 

 

When it comes to living in Asia, we are so often spoilt for choice when it comes to luxury destinations on our doorstop and with Thailand just a hop, skip and a jump away, the possibilities for luxury are endless.

 

New on our radar is the sublime Andara Resort and Villas, a lush, tropical getaway hidden overlooking the Andaman Sea.

 

 

Location

 

Andara Resort & Villas is hidden into the hills above Kamala Beach, overlooking the Andaman Sea and away from all the usual hustle and bustle of Phuket.

 

Being just 28km from the centre of Phuket, makes exploring the island ideal with a host of world-class restaurants, shops and golf-courses on our doorstep which are all easily reachable by car or even the Andara yacht.

 

Getting to the resort couldn’t be easier with a host of airlines offering direct flights to Phuket, from where Andara Resort & villas is just a 30-minute drive.

 

 

Accommodation

 

Whatever option you choose at Andara is the right one quite frankly as every villa and suite has been designed in the most thoughtful way, ensuring perfect views and ideal amenities.

 

The resort boasts 26 luxury pool villas and 37 luxury suites. When it comes to pool villas, you can look forward to sweeping views of the Andaman Sea thanks to your private pool, a fully-equipped kitchen which you shouldn’t find much need for thanks to your private chef and villa assistant, on hand 24 hours a day. Then there’s the outdoor dining area should you find your villa too comfortable to leave, full TV and music systems as well as a spacious living room and of course, WIFI. Villas range from three to seven bedrooms, making them ideal for large groups.

 

Moving on to the 37 luxury suites, here the modern Thai design gives way to stunning views of the Andaman Sea from all sides. Thanks to your fully stocked kitchen, you can step out onto the large outdoor terrace, take in the view, before retiring into your large dining area to relax. Each suite ranges from one and two bedrooms to three and four bedrooms with most suites also offering the always popular infinity pool.

 

 

Dining

 

While leaving the stunning villas or suites might be a challenge, Andara does offer a range of dining options for you to choose from. Firstly there is Silk Restaurant and Bar, open all day, the choices are pretty endless. There’s authentic Thai food for those looking for something local, a full Western menu, a wide selection of seafood and vegetarians don’t need to worry thanks to the large vegetarian menu. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can even wind your day down here with a signature sunset cocktail come evening time.

 

Of course if you want to get out and about and explore the dining options of Phuket, transport can easily be arranged by the resort.

 

 

 

Activities

 

Whilst not on the beach itself, a shuttle bus can take you down to Kamala Beach, where the resort have set up towels, umbrellas, cushions and refreshments all along the beach. If you are more of a pool person, there’s a gorgeous long swimming pool – ideal to work off some of that delicious on site cuisine.

 

Talking of burning calories, the resort also runs several morning group classes from boxing to yoga and if that doesn’t take your fancy, how about a game of tennis at the on- site tennis courts. Then there’s also the matter of the fully stocked gym with personal trainers, scuba diving, TRX classes and even Thai boxing.

 

If all this sounds a bit too active then don’t worry, there’s also a first class spa with a wide array of treatments and even a kids club open from 9 am to 6 pm so you can enjoy a much-needed bit of R&R.

 

Saving the best for last is the Andara’s private 35m yacht, on hand for charters which are fully customisable to your requests. Your trip can be planned to perfection with the team as the captain and full crew take you on a trip of a lifetime.
