Burberry joins forces with UNICEF

The English fashion house wants to help vulnerable communities across the globe

At a time when the difference between rich and poor could mean the difference between life and death, heritage fashion house Burberry, are throwing their weight behind UNICEF’s COVID-19 Vaccines Appeal. This appeal aims to ensure that millions of people from vulnerable communities across the world have an equal access to vaccines.

Donations from the Burberry and the Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund will go towards the transport, storage and administration of vaccines to low-income countries. Set up in April 2020, the Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund enables the buying and distribution of emergency PPE, donations to food banks and most importantly, helps to provide essential healthcare and social services to the most vulnerable and in need from around the world.

Marco Gobbetti, CEO, Burberry, says, “We believe everybody should have equal access to the COVID-19 vaccine. UNICEF’s COVID-19 Vaccines Appeal is helping to provide it, protecting families and communities from the devastating impacts of the virus. We are proud to continue our support for the relief efforts by helping UNICEF in their mission to provide vital resources for vulnerable communities around the world.”
