Gin Jubilee: Asia’s Largest Gin Festival Returns To Singapore For The Grand Finale

For this entire week from November 27th to December 3rd, the premium beverage maker and producers of what is known to be the “Champagne of tonic water”, East Imperial, will be hosting a week-long gin extravaganza featuring a series of tasting events, pop-ups and masterclasses that will bring together some of the world’s finest gins and the region’s leading bars and bartenders. Previously starting off in just Singapore, the festival has since crossing international waters to Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Phnom Penh, and for the first time this year, into Bangkok, Auckland, and Shanghai.


As Asia’s premier gin festival, the Gin Jubilee has been zealously spreading gin knowledge and appreciation across the region over the last five years during which time, over a 100 gin brands have entered the booming Asian market, further spurring on the flourishing local bar scene. This year, expect distillers participating from London, Scotland, Germany, France, Australia and the United States. Included in the mix are the internationally-acclaimed labels such as Hendrick’s Gin and Bombay Sapphire, as well as boutique names like Bulldog, Kyrö, The Botanist, St. George, The West Winds, and Fords Gin.

An unprecedented number of 43 bars will be participating in this year’s gin festivities, ranging from Atlas to newly-opened Marcello, each working with a unique spirit and East Imperial Tonic; all contending for the title of Asia’s Best Gin and Tonic — a result decided primarily by public through Instagram voting. Gin lovers can visit any of the partnering bars on the list throughout the event period and enjoy a taste of the new gin and tonic cocktail concocted exclusively for the festival.

The week-long festivities will culminate in the one event not to be missed – the Gin Lane closing street party held at Amoy Street on the last day on 2 December, from 6pm to 11pm. Pop-up bars and gin brands will be set up for party-goers to taste the diverse variety of participating bars’ Gin & Tonic creations, while dancing along to the exclusive Jubilee playlist by music collective Mustard Music; spinning tunes through the night to keep revellers on their feet.


Indulge in a raving good time at the no-holds-barred closing party in the presence of representatives from major international gin brands, along with the East Imperial founders Kevin Law-Smith and Tony Burt, who will be there to announce the winner of the “Asia’s Best Gin & Tonic”.
