Porsche And Their Pooches

Collaborating With Local Shelters To Raise Awareness For Animal Welfare

With this year’s official symbol of prosperity, luck and fortune being the dog, animal shelters have expressed concerns over the potential increase in impulse purchases of dogs this auspicious season.

In the year following the last Year of the Dog in 2006, SPCA recorded an estimated 10% increase in rescue dogs taken in to their shelter. The discernible increase in dogs taken in were suspected of being due to abandonment.

This year, in a bid to help encourage pet adoption and celebrate the Lunar Year of the Dog, Porsche Centre Singapore has partnered with two local shelters Exclusively Mongrels and Oasis Second Chance Animal Shelter (OSCAS) for an exclusive photo shoot series in Dempsey Hill. The campaign featured the local mongrels up for adoption at these two shelters, affectionately known as the Singapore Specials, to hopefully help them find new loving homes.
