Singapore Becomes The Most Powerful Passport In The World

For the first time in history, Singapore has been voted as the world's most powerful passport.
Thanks to some very helpful new visa laws from Paraguay, Singapore has finally nudged Germany out of the top spot on the passport index. Devised by financial advisory firm, Arton Capital, historically the top ten passports in the world have been mostly European, with Germany taking the top spot for the past two years.
It looked like things were finally going Singapore's way when earlier in the year it was tied with Germany with the final tally revealing that Singapore had scored a visa-free score of 159 in the latest rankings, while Germany was just one point behind. Speaking of the new developments, Managing Director of Arton Capital, Mr Phillippe May said " For the first time ever an Asia country has the most powerful passport in the world. It is a testament of Singapore's inclusive diplomatic relations and effective foreign policy."
Other Asian passports to make the top 20 include South Korea, Japan and Malaysia, who went up the rankings this year, while the US faced a much lower position since Donald Trump took office, coming in with a ranking of 154 - putting the US on a par with Malaysia, Ireland and Canada.
