The Best Moments From The Winter Olympics 2018 So Far

Here's a roundup of the best moments of the 2018 Winter Olympics so far.
A Narrow Victory
At just 17, Red Gerard has become the first American to win a gold medal at the Winter Games for Snowboarding, but he so nearly missed out on even having a chance to compete. On what has to have been one of the biggest days of his life, Gerard managed to not only oversleep, but misplaced his Team USA jacket and only made it to the race with seconds to go. As if all that wasn't dramatic enough, he also swore on live television when being interviewed about his victory. What to do about millennials.
Tweet It While You Win It
Chloe Kim is just 5'3", is still in high school and is just 17, but that didn't stop her putting in one of the best Olympic halfpipe performances of all time, taking home the gold for the USA. Nor did it stop her actually tweeting mid session as with just one run to go, she pulled out her phone, tweeted: "Wish I finished my breakfast sandwich but my stubborn self decided not to and now I’m getting hangry,” before putting on the best performance of her short career.
CondomGate
US figure skater, Adam Rippon, seems to be upset with the Olympics but for reasons you might not think of. It seems the condom situation isn't quite up to the potential hype it was billed to be, with Rippon blasting it in an epic minute rant on Instagram. "I thought maybe they'd have like Olympic rings on them or they'd be all different colours, but no. It's all a myth.
Stress Reliever
As his snowboarding team prepared for their race, Finnish coach, Antti Koskinen, took a few moments to compose herself, by knitting. That's right, at the pinnacle of stressful moments, she kept her cool the best way she knew how.
