Range Rover Partners with Wimbledon for 2024 Championships

Range Rover leads the charge.

Range Rover has announced its new role as the Official Vehicle Partner for The Championships, Wimbledon. This partnership brings together the world’s oldest tennis tournament and one of the most prestigious luxury SUV brands for the first time. Wimbledon is the quintessential British summer event, watched by millions around the globe. For the 2024 tournament, Range Rover will support the prestigious Grand Slam as the Official Vehicle Partner, continuing JLR’s decade-long association with The Championships, transitioning from its previous brand, Jaguar.

Range Rover is synonymous with modern luxury, unmatched refinement, and a broad range of capabilities. With over fifty years of evolution, every Range Rover model exemplifies this legacy. The fleet for Wimbledon will include the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in electric hybrid models, reflecting the brand's commitment to sustainability. These vehicles boast a pure electric driving range of up to 75 miles, which will be maximised using the on-site charging facilities at Wimbledon.

Wimbledon is dedicated to reducing vehicle emissions as part of its broader environmental initiatives. The on-site charging infrastructure at the newly completed Indoor Tennis Centre is powered by renewable electricity. This facility will support the growing number of hybrid and electric vehicles, aligning with the All England Club’s aim to achieve net zero operational emissions by 2030.

Geraldine Ingham, Range Rover Managing Director, commented on the partnership, stating, “As an iconic British cultural event watched by millions across the world, The Championships provides the ideal opportunity for Range Rover to engage with our global clients with creative storytelling that perfectly captures the elegance and refinement of our vehicles and the synergies between our two modern luxury brands.”

Deborah Jevans CBE, Chair of the All England Club, expressed her enthusiasm, “We are delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnership with JLR with the announcement of Range Rover as Official Vehicle Partner. I am particularly pleased with the inclusion of a significant number of lower-emission plug-in hybrid vehicles in the fleet, focusing on as many journeys as possible being delivered in EV mode. This is another step towards our goal of achieving net zero operational emissions by 2030."

The Championships, Wimbledon, will take place from July 1 to July 14, 2024, at The All England Lawn Tennis Club. This partnership promises to enhance the event experience with luxury and sustainability at the forefront.
