Autumn/ Winter 2019 Trend Round-Up

The colours and styles you need to know for the coming season.

All Things Bright And Beautiful

Think the Winter season is all about beige and navy? Think again as for this Winter season, designers including Balenciaga, Max Mara and Jacquemus sent down a bright and brilliant medley of ensembles in traffic-stopping hues ranging from hot pink, burnt orange, turquoise and sunshine yellow. The future is here and ladies, it's bright.

 Get Leathered

Not the most practical trend for us in Singapore, but one for the bold - leather trousers lead the way as one of the only way to wear your trousers this Winter. At Bottega Veneta they had a hard, biker feel, Isabel  Marant gave them a high-waist while Hermes kept things sleek and fitted.

La Vie en Rose

After seasons of micro florals bubbling under the trend surface, this Winter, florals, and in particular, roses,  finally come out in full force. Wear them bold and bright like at Prada, soft and subtle like Preen By Thornton Bregazzi - but whatever you do - wear them.

 Go Grunge

Just when we had you thinking Winter was going to be a pretty,  timid affair, we throw grunge into the mix. That's right - this  season is all about leather, lace, dark lipstick and heavy boots. Embrace your inner 90s child, slap on some Nirvana, a tartan shirt and dig out those Doc Martin boots and you're ready to roll.

 Sparkle and Shine

This Winter,  throw away  all thoughts of keeping those sequins until the evening as alongside rhinestones, they make  one of the hottest adornments around. Not brave enough to wear from head to toe? Then mix with a plain top or bottom a la Celine or Tory Burch or go for gold with some oversized rhinestone accessories and an embellished bottom half like Christopher Kane.
