The Best New Beauty Launches For August 2020

Get glam and glowing in a flash

Let’s face it, when it comes to make-up sometimes it’s just easy to get stuck in an if it aint broke don’t fix it kind of rut, and while we aren’t saying that’s necessarily bad per se, sometimes you just need to get your head out of that dusty make-up bag and see what the beauty world has to offer in 2020. So, without further ado, here are the best beauty launches for this month.

Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Foundation

If you are someone who likes the full glam, matte made up kind of style then this one is not for you but if you like your skin to glow in an undetectable, health radiating kind of way, then this might just be your new favourite friend. Although its lightweight, the coverage still packs enough pigment to hide blemishes and dark spots and quite frankly, we are addicted.

Huda Beauty N.Y.M.P.H All-Over Highlighting Powder

As a young beauty editor in Dubai, I worked with Huda on many a photoshoot and still use most of her tips and tricks today, which is why I’ve loved watching her brand grow into the phenomenon it is today. And while most of her make-up is serious coverage stuff, this highlighting powder is one of the prettiest I’ve come across. It’s got a fine pearl sheen that leaves your skin looking shiny rather than glittery and adds that essential bit of oomph to any look.

L’Oreal Paris Le Liner Signature Mechanical Eyeliner

The thing about L’Oreal make-up is that it is just so good. The latest thing out of their beauty labs is this smudge-proof eyeliner which, available in six shades, can pretty much withstand any amount of sweat or stress.

Hourglass Cosmetics Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara

One brand that I can never ignore is Hourglass Cosmetics thanks to the sheer quality of their ingredients. And here is their latest mascara which has launched to rave reviews from beauty bloggers already thanks to the fact it makes your lashes look like falsies in a flash.

Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte Foundation

Ask any matte foundation fan what the number one quibble about most formulas is and they will tell you its the lack of hydration. Well, enter Tom Ford with this masterpiece which includes both hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to give you hydrating, medium-coverage perfection.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

Find the right setting spray and it’s like finding the love of your life, well almost. This one from make-up maven Charlotte Tilbury is the latest from her Flawless line and thanks to aloe vera and green tea it soothes, sets and hydrates your skin and, most importantly, locks your make-up in place for as long as you want it there.

Urban Decay Lash Freak Mascara

When it comes to breaking out of beauty comfort zones, mascara is one area I’m not very good at changing. Also, the brush on this mascara looks bizarre to say the least. But, in the spirit of all things beauty I have recently given it a go and I am in love. Yes the head is strange but it needs to be, the shape gets round your whole eye to coat every single lash to perfection.
