Maserati’s Electrified Future is Revealed at Folgore Day

A celebration of innovation, luxury, and electric power.

Maserati, the iconic Italian luxury automotive brand, made waves in the heart of the Motor Valley with the highly anticipated Folgore Day event held on Monday, April 15th, in Rimini. Celebrating the brand's 110th anniversary, the event marked a milestone as Maserati unveiled its foray into the electric vehicle realm. The Folgore range, named after the Italian word for "lightning," symbolises Maserati's electrified future.

Folgore Day served as the official introduction of Maserati's groundbreaking electric models, including the GranTurismo Folgore, the Grecale Folgore SUV, and the GranCabrio Folgore, an elegant open-top version of the award-winning grand tourer. Additionally, Maserati teased the upcoming MC20 Folgore super sports car, set to debut in 2025. This electrification initiative is part of Maserati's broader strategic vision announced in early 2024, aiming to fully electrify its entire Trident range by 2028 while ensuring sustainable profitability and continuous brand evolution.

The event highlighted Maserati's commitment to Italian craftsmanship and design, with all vehicles being meticulously crafted in Italy, particularly at the historic plant on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena. Folgore Day served as a testament to Maserati's dedication to luxury consumers seeking electric mobility solutions without compromising on performance, elegance, or sophistication.

The Folgore range embodies Maserati's core values of technological innovation, refined elegance, and impeccable performance, while also embracing the profound market transformation towards electric mobility. With the Folgore range, Maserati aims to ignite a modern beginning, ushering in a new chapter in its illustrious history as the first 100% Italian luxury brand to produce full-electric models in the Motor Valley.

The event, held in conjunction with the Formula E racing weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, featured a press conference led by Maserati CEO Davide Grasso, who outlined the brand's electrification strategy and future plans. Folgore Day showcased Maserati's bold leap into the electric era, solidifying its position as a pioneering force in the luxury automotive industry while embracing the electrified future.

Folgore Day commenced with the electrifying launch of the "It turns you on" campaign, heralding the dawn of Maserati's new era. Leading the charge was the charismatic Italian musician and singer-songwriter Damiano David, renowned for his captivating performances with the globally acclaimed rock band Måneskin. David's distinctive voice and magnetic presence have propelled Måneskin to the top of the charts, making him the perfect embodiment of Maserati's dynamic and alluring ethos.
