The all-new Audi A8 L will be the first production automobile in the world to have been developed for highly automated driving

Amidst all the glitz and glam and an unprecedented number of over 26 new models unveiled all vying for the attention of buyers and car enthusiasts alike, the showcase of the all new Audi A8 L was a star standout that undoubtedly stole the limelight.

In a true marriage of luxury and technology, the latest flagship luxury limousine, the A8 L, features new artificial intelligence systems that claims to be able to drive itself autonomously during traffic jams, freeing up precious time for the driver to attend to more important things or simply sit back and relax while stuck in traffic.

If regulators approve, it will be the world's first full-production model featuring Level 3 autonomous capability, which allows the driver to take his eyes off the road and his hands off the steering wheel under certain conditions.

The A8's cutting-edge autonomous driving system, the Audi AI Traffic Jam Pilot, can be set in motion under strict circumstance that requires the car to be travelling at less than 60km/h, on a highway/motorway, have traffic in front and behind it, and have a physical barrier between it and the traffic going in the opposite direction.
