The Fully-Electric Porsche Taycan Arrives In Singapore

It's the ultimate combination of performance and state-of-the-art technology.

We live in a world where it's not enough to think of now, we have to think of the future in a bid to leave the world and the environment in a better state than we found it, which is why when it comes to impacting the environment, it's never been more important to think of substance as well as style.

So, when Porsche announced their very first fully-electric sports car, the Taycan, it was welcomed with open arms. But when it comes to this new motor, what can we expect? Well, for starters, speed. Just because its electric doesn't mean this beauty doesn't move with some lick with it with the Taycan Turbo going from zero to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds, the same as the 911 GT2 RS. And once its on the road, it will get you to where you want to go and then some, boasting a driving range of 405 km and a charging power of 800v instead of the usual 400v meaning charging time is effectively halved.

And since it was designed to ease the environmental footprint driving leaves on the earth, you wont be surprised to hear that it is manufactured in a carbon dioxide-neutral production facility, ensuring that all of its suppliers meet environmental and human rights compliance standards. Having joined the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) in 2019, Porsche aims to ensure that their entire value chain is both socially and environmentally sustainable.

Last but certainly not least comes the aesthetics of this sustainable stunner. In line with the instantly recognisable Porsche brand, it has the same sporty sloping roofline as well as a new and improved lightweight Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake, LED Matrix Headlights and alloy wheels as standard. Moving inside, the dashboard takes its inspiration from the original 1963 911 with a central 10.9 infotainment display and optional passenger display. Foot garages near the footwell are the delightful addition to ensure ultimate comfort for lucky passengers. Of course, the interiors follow the strict environmental and sustainable ethos, being leather-free and made from innovative recycled materials.

Speaking of the launch, Jason Lim, General Manager of Stuttgart Auto said: “As the sole authorised Porsche retailer in Singapore, we are committed to providing our customers with the ease and confidence of owning their first fully-electric Porsche. Our comprehensive maintenance and warranty programme covers all upkeep and repair costs, including regular wear and tear, for a truly seamless and hassle-free ownership experience. Furthermore, Taycan owners can be assured that their vehicles will be in good hands and professionally cared for by E-Performance specialists in our new electric-ready Porsche Service Centre, one of the first in Southeast Asia, that is set up with state-of-the-art equipment for advanced diagnosis and maintenance."
